About MandalaMaker™
History
My wife Clare has been drawing and painting mandalas for nearly thirty years, but when we got our first computer, back in 1994, she had a hard time creating radially symmetrical designs using the software tools available.
Always the helpful husband, I set out to create a tool that would assist her in expanding her art to the electronic medium. The original MandalaMaker™, introduced in 2001, was the result.
Since then, thousands of people have learned to make beautiful mandalas with MandalaMaker™. They've let me know what they liked about the program and also where they felt it could use improvement.
Now, I have released MandalaMaker™ version 2, incorporating lots user suggestions and a few of my own bright ideas.
Introducing MandalaMaker™ 2
MandalaMaker™ 2 adds editable layers, transparency, gradient fills and a gaggle of new shapes. The range of images and effects possible with the original program was truly staggering. These new additions open up grand new vistas for exploration.
If you like to create mandalas, you will love MandalaMaker™ 2. It is by far the easiest way to create precise, high quality digital mandalas.
Fun and Easy
The road to MandalaMaker mastery is both fun and easy. Once you get to know the program, creating images is intuitive, meditative and perhaps even a bit addictive. My 80-something Father-in-law and four and six-year-old Grandsons are all adept mandala-makers.
I wrote MandalaMaker and my wife and I work with it on a daily basis, yet we surprise ourselves regularly with new techniques and the unexpected consequences of combining them. We hope that you will enjoy exploring MandalaMaker as much as we do!
