My wife Clare has been drawing and painting mandalas for nearly thirty years, but when we got our first home computer in 1994, she was frustrated trying to create these radially symmetrical designs with the software tools available.
Always the helpful husband, I set out to create a tool that would assist her in expanding her art to this new electronic medium. MandalaMaker is the result.
Graphics applications have grown increasingly more complex and sophisticated since then, but they still dont create radial symmetry as well as MandalaMaker.
The program is easy to learn, yet continues to yield new aspects and approaches over time. Many people have found it both meditative and fun and perhaps even a bit addictive.
Both my 80-something Father-in-law and my four-year-old Grandson are very adept mandala-makers.
With MandalaMaker you can:
- Create designs of many kinds traditional mandalas or contemporary art
- Draw black and white line art as well as full color illustrations
- Save mandalas to disk or export your images as GIF or JPEG files
- Open and enhance exported mandalas in other graphics applications
- Print high resolution mandalas directly from MandalaMaker.
