Options Menu

Disable/Enable Filing

The "Disable Filing" command tells MandalaMaker not to ask you if you want to save an open mandala when you select the Clear or Open command. When filing is disabled, the Save and Save As commands are dimmed as well. This allows you to play with MandalaMaker without having to deal with a lot of dialog boxes popping up. It also could be used to prevent a child playing with the program from filling up your hard disk with saved mandalas. When you open a previously saved mandala while filing is disabled, MandalaMaker automatically enables filing to prevent accidental loss of your work.

Hide Preview

When you select "Hide Preview," the preview image is temporarily removed from the canvas so you can see your drawing without it. As soon as you move an attribute slider, the preview reappears.

Use Small/Large Palettes

MandalaMaker has large and small versions of the Color Palette. If your monitor size is smaller than 800 X 600 pixels the small palette is used and this command does not appear on the Options Menu. If you have a larger monitor you have a choice between the large and small palette. The large Color Palette displays the Colors panel, which contains the swatches of the current color set, at all times. The small Color Palette displays the Colors panel only when a "Set Color" button is pressed. Using the small palette saves screen space, allowing a better view of your mandala. You may change between the two palette sizes as often as you like.
